Booking a Venue

Cancellation policy

Once you’ve found your ideal venue then confirm. You will be asked to pay the initial deposit on our site via credit card. The venue’s deposit structure will be displayed on their page. Keep in contact with the venue to make the subsequent deposits.

Auto-Confirmation vs Manual-Confirmation?

Some venues will allow you to reserve your request right away – these are auto-confirmations and all bookings are final. Other venues with manual-confirmations will be given up to 48 hours to approve or deny your request, this is typically done to ensure the venue has not been double booked. While waiting for the vendor to confirm or deny, you are free to browse other venues and cancel your request (with full deposit refund), however, once the venue confirms your payment will be taken right away and all bookings are final.

Cancellations

What happens if I need to cancel or move my date after I’ve already booked and my initial deposit was taken?
Once your reservation is confirmed the booking is final. Any change to your date or potential cancellation must be handled with the venue directly and subject to their policy and procedures, or subsequent contract you have signed with them. It is at the vendor’s discretion if they want to offer you another date, a partial or full refund, but they may not be obligated to refund you if your plans change.

I don’t know how many guests I will have yet, how many should I book for?

Book for slightly less guests than you anticipate. If a venue has the physical space and has enough notice to get enough staff and supplies, they will likely allow you to add extra guests (provided you pay for the extra heads). If you book for too many guests in advance and end up needing less, and your venue charges per head, you may end up overpaying for your event.

Change or Reset Password

Reset your password:

  • On User Sign- In page, click “forgot password”
  • Enter the email address you use for Eventhounds
  • Click Send reset link
  • You'll be emailed a link to reset your password.

If you’ve requested the reset link more than once, make sure you're using the right email address.

Change your password:

  • Go to Profile
  • In left menu click “Change Password”
  • Enter your current (old) password
  • Enter and confirm your new password
  • Click “Change password”

Creating an Account

Creating an Eventhounds account is free and easy. While in eventhounds.com, click the “Sign Up” button located at the top right of the page and follow the instructions on the next page.
You just need to provide the following information below, create a password, and you are all set up!

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Covid policies and restrictions may vary depending on the location you are booking in. We highly recommend that all guests to verify the local health requirement mandates prior to booking a venue.
Additionally, many of our vendor partners continue to review and update their policies. We recommend customers and their guests as well as venues and their staff work collaboratively to implement measures that satisfy their respective needs.
